  1. Quiet house

The house has taken on a whole different kind of quiet----the 2 teens are gone for a week with their aunt and uncle to another state to visit relatives of my former husband. I didn't think I'd miss them or their "energy", but I really do. Well, right now I do because HD is gone on a jont of errands.

I told Hubby Dearest I didn't know how I was going to deal with the quiet and sleeping in passed 6 a.m. It took me about 5 minutes to get over that!!!! We had mushroom and ...

  2. Chili season

Well, tis the season for chili. I really enjoy making and eating this dish. Mine is rather mild compared to others, especially my girlfriend Tessa. That made for NO canned pumpkin in the grocery stores until last week; and the supply was becoming depleted quickly. Usually the canned pumpkin is on the shelves by the first part of October. I mentioned to some shoppers when I saw them so disappointed at the empty shelves, ...

  5. Site Updates

Wow, what a day! I upgraded the entire site to a new system, which seems to have a lot of new capabilities and features. Things are still rough around the edges, but it isn't bad for a day's work.

The Forum works in pretty much the same way as it did before, however we now have an additional Home screen which is further broken down into various sections. I had a hard time figuring out what sections to use, but I finally decided to start with Culture and News, Games, and Advice and Helpful Hints. ...
