• How to Use the New Site

    Hi Everyone!

I wanted to take a moment and explain where everything on the old site went, and how to find it on the new one.

The first link you'll see in the large light blue bar above this, "Home" contains featured articles which have been pulled directly from the Forum. The darker bar below the Home link contains links to other sections with more custom content, such as Culture and News, Games, Advice and Helpful Hints, Daily Deals, and the Library. Each of these sections will be updated regularly with featured content pulled both from the Forum, as well as articles from other sites such as Fox News, Kraft Foods, Amazon, and more.

The second link is to the Forum. Although the design is a bit different, everything from the old site, from games to Trudy's newsletters, may be found here. If you are viewing the Forum, the smaller links in the bar below will change to allow you easy access to things such as writing new posts, reading your private messages, and seeing the calendar.

A brand new feature of the site site is the Blog area. Here, you can not only read blogs which other members have written, but you can write your own as well! Writing your own blog has never been easier! Simply click on the Blog link above, and then click on the "Create New Post" button and start typing! You can write about whatever you like, from new recipes which you've tried, your favorite places to go around town, poetry, or life's daily happenings. Have fun!

The last, but not least, link at the top is "What's New?", which is a quick and easy way to see what has been posted since your last visit to our site.

I'm still working out the new software myself, so if you have any trouble finding something, just let me know!

Oh, by the way, the smileys/emoticons in the new software are a bit different. Right now, to see them, you will need to click on the "Go Advanced" button which will include a new page with the smileys we so love and enjoy! I will try to add them back to the Quick Reply section here soon, but for now, that's where they are.

Thank you for the directions around "town". It is comforting to know that those of us who are not computer savvy have a trusted and learned guide.

I moved the Games section from its own page to a nice little convenient box right on the Home screen. Now the game threads are even easier to find, and it's one less step to get there!
