  • Healthy Breads

We hear a lot about whole grains these days, but how does your bread measure up? When searching for a healthier alternative to white bread, simply choosing "wheat" or "multigrain" is not enough. Often, breads labeled thusly are nothing more than your standard white bread (which is also made out of wheat) with extra coloring and flavors added to it. What a rip-off, right? Instead, look for the key word "whole" wheat, which means that you're getting everything from the bran, germ, and endosperm; not just the middle bits with extra coloring added to it.
