My mother was meeting me for lunch awhile back, and had scraped her knee shortly before arriving. I've always kept a first-aid kit and emergency supplies bag in my car since I started driving, but find it quite difficult to find anything in the one pocket sack which was filled with zip-loc bags holding various medical supplies, so I decided to do something about it.

Ever since I learned that Häagen-Dazs makes Baileys Irish Cream ice cream, I've been looking for it during each trip to the grocery store. Much to my delight, they had the flavor available today, and it's fantastic! I only made one mistake... I looked at the nutrition facts... 50% of your saturated fat for a day in half a cup, wowserz!

I've been trying new ways to eat healthier and get fruits and vegetables into my diet. One thing that I like to do is to add dried and fresh fruits to my regular ol' leaf salads to make things more interesting. Blueberries and cranberries are great for this, as are strawberries and apples. Toasted nuts are delicious, and fresh herbs and black pepper can make all the difference.
