  1. Thank you, Jennifer. It's been tough. Thanksgiving was horrid. The two "terrorists" and I will be with my 2 adult children for Christmas on the 28th. I'm trying to be up, but the "downs" get to me.
Blessings and warmth to you for Christmas.

  7. Thank you, Jennifer. We are still in shock. I am now taking medication to help me get through this so I won't lose my mind. I am counting my blessings; so it Guy, but we want more time together. 24 years of marriage has just flown by.

Sign language in church

by Trudy in Illinois on 01/09/2011 at 04:07 PM
The kids and I went to church. We sat as a family. I say that because S. usually wants to sit with someone who has chewing gum and knows he'll get some; Tara is in a stage where she doesn't want people to know we're related, thus sits away from me. I've pinched her for it and she usually reacts so someone knows something happened between her and me. She was an acolyte today, I didn't sing with the choir because our director is on vacation, so the three of us sat in the 3rd. pew from the

Those plastic clamshelled products.

by Trudy in Illinois on 01/07/2011 at 04:10 PM
I bought something which was in a bubble, hard-to-open wrap. After working on it for 15 minutes, I got it open. Well, some parts were missing, so I took it back. The cretin they had working behind the counter told me they couldn't take it back because it was open. I asked him, "How could I know if all the parts were there if I didn't open it?" He said it didn't matter, it was store policy. I told him, "So, if no one finds your body, you aren't dead?" The look was priceless

The kids were thrilled especially since they'd seen the fields of pumpkins around us and people out walking among them. The tractors and wagons would slowly move up and down the rows as the wagons' beds

Radio music

by Trudy in Illinois on 11/22/2009 at 10:35 AM
How many of you listen to the radio? I turned mine on this morning before I got up just to find out what the weather was going to be. Sometimes during the night it can change quickly and what was said at 10 p.m. the night before doesn't necessarily mean that is what will be at 6:00 a.m.

Well, to my surprise there was no weather report at the usual time and CHRISTMAS music was playing. Folks, it isn't even THANKSGIVING yet, and my ears are being reamed with Christmas music. I

Quiet house

by Trudy in Illinois on 11/21/2009 at 12:53 PM
The house has taken on a whole different kind of quiet----the 2 teens are gone for a week with their aunt and uncle to another state to visit relatives of my former husband. I didn't think I'd miss them or their "energy", but I really do. Well, right now I do because HD is gone on a jont of errands.

I told Hubby Dearest I didn't know how I was going to deal with the quiet and sleeping in passed 6 a.m. It took me about 5 minutes to get over that!!!! We had mushroom and
