How many of you listen to the radio? I turned mine on this morning before I got up just to find out what the weather was going to be. Sometimes during the night it can change quickly and what was said at 10 p.m. the night before doesn't necessarily mean that is what will be at 6:00 a.m.
Well, to my surprise there was no weather report at the usual time and CHRISTMAS music was playing. Folks, it isn't even THANKSGIVING yet, and my ears are being reamed with Christmas music.

The house has taken on a whole different kind of quiet----the 2 teens are gone for a week with their aunt and uncle to another state to visit relatives of my former husband. I didn't think I'd miss them or their "energy", but I really do. Well, right now I do because HD is gone on a jont of errands.

Well, tis the season for chili. I really enjoy making and eating this dish. Mine is rather mild compared to others, especially my girlfriend Tessa. She is an interesting person who also has a very unusual accent. She, also, has a lot of trouble with spelling. So, joining the accent and spelling challenge, you have a mystery when reading something she’s written. I asked her for her recipe of chili which is delicious. What a reading adventure that was. Another wet day in central Illinois with more to come is reported. The farmers are still trying to get in their crops. The pumpkin farmers had to wait for the fields to dry out to get the machines in there to get the pumpkins. That made for NO canned pumpkin in the grocery stores until last week; and the supply was becoming depleted quickly. Usually the canned pumpkin is on the shelves by the first part of October.
