Keeping Flour Fresh Longer
Flour, herbs, seeds, nuts, and more can be kept fresh longer by simply storing them in the freezer! For me personally, I store my whole wheat flour and nuts in the freezer once opened, in order to help keep them from going rancid. I've stored pecans in there for years, to later chop and toast for use in baked goods, without any noticeable difference in quality! For the flour, I simply take the whole bag, place it inside a zip-top freezer bag, and store it in the door for easy access.

No trees were harmed in making this post. However, millions of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
