    Talking Apple Coleslaw

    Here's a great side dish - it's easy to make, and sounds delicious!

    Apple Coleslaw

    1 hr 10 min

    makes
    12 servings, 1/2 cup each

    What You Need

    3/4 cup MIRACLE WHIP Light Dressing
    1 Tbsp. Honey
    1 pkg. (16 oz.) coleslaw blend (cabbage slaw mix)
    2 Apples (preferably 1 red and 1 green), chopped

    Make It

    MIX dressing and honey in large bowl.

    ADD remaining ingredients; mix lightly.

    REFRIGERATE 1 hour.

    Food Facts

    Choose all-purpose apples for both eating raw and cooking. Varieties include Cortland, Granny Smith, Johathan, McIntosh and Fuji.

    Substitute

    Substitute 3 cups shredded green cabbage and 2 cups shredded red cabbage for the package of coleslaw blend.

    sounds delicious! I make cole slaw often and will try adding some chopped apple. I like to have left over slaw to serve with sandwiches. Also cole slaw is low in carbs so I eat it instead of chips. I try to go light on the mayo to cut calories. Thanks for the idea.

    I also like putting apple in my chicken salad - Subway originally gave me the idea when they started doing it for their sandwiches, and it's very good!

    Toasted, chopped almonds is also a good addition for chicken or tuna salad. I also like to put some finely chopped celery in chicken salad.
