Default Tea leaves & coffee grounds

I keep a large coffee can under the kitchen sink and place used tea leaves and coffee grounds in it. When it is full, I spread it around the azeleas and other shrubs. I have also used it in the vegetable garden in the summer.

A local company that makes mulch for stocking in garden centers buys used tea leaves from a company that makes brewed tea that is sold in supermarkets. They use the tea leaves as a part of the mulch mix.

I recycle as much as I can and this is one way to keep these items from going to the landfill and enhance the soil in our garden at the same time.

I remember spreading coffee grounds around the evergreen shrubs when we had them. They loved it!
