March 2011: What freebies have you received?

March is coming in like a lion, and hopefully out like a lamb. Have you received any free samples recently? Here's what I found in my mailbox today:

• Vaseline Intensive Rescue lotion
• Lactaid Fast Act tablets (these are great to keep on hand for company)
• Steviacane sweetener sample

I've been using a lot of the Organic Valley coupons - it's great being able to get my organic milk for only a little over a dollar a half gallon! Not to mention the savings on cream cheese, cottage cheese, butter, and sour cream! I really hope they publish more $2 off any product coupons in the next newsletter, since these expire at the end of the month! What I love most is that I can print out three or four of the coupons whenever I like, and then use them all in one trip (each on a different product).

Cream cheese recently went on sale at my local Whole Foods - 2 for $5. Using two of the $2 off an Organic Valley product coupons, I was able to get them for only 50 cents a package!

6 nasty looks from a 14 yo girl; attitude from her, too; disrespect from the 17 yo boy; attitude from him, too; one finger up from another driver when I wasn't going the speed of light 3 seconds after the light turned green; hugs from the hubby; "Ohhh, I'd like to have more of this good supper" from Hubby; "Do I have to eat this" from the teens; and a lot of smiles. OOoops, I forgot to mention the gas, bloating, and pressure from some Brussels sprouts; and 3 headaches.

I am blessed.

I received a free sample of Burt's Bees Cranberry and Pomegranate Sugar Scrub from the grocery store the other day. It smelled wonderful!

"And you look mahvahlous, dahling." Do you remember when Billy Crystal did a take on Fernando Lamas on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE? It was so funny.

Freebie in the mail: perfume samples, shampoo and cream rinse which goes to 14 yo daughter who has thick, thick hair to her waist! I ended-up buying a case of shampoo because it is cheaper that way.

At Whole Foods, they'll give you 10% off of anything in the store (if it isn't already on sale), if you buy it by the case.

We don't have one of those food stores here in the Peoria, IL area. Dang!!!

It looks like the closest store is over 100 miles away from you! That would be quite the drive...

Yep! I'd pack a lunch for sure. I belong to a food bank and buy things by the case. We get 13% off whatever we buy if it's not on sale. That's a bit better than WHOLE FOODS' offer. One time the offer was DR. BRONNER'S peppermint, castile soap in an 18 oz. bottle for a very reasonable price. I bought 4 cases of 12 bottles. I still have plenty. I use it for dish detergent and body wash in the summer to be refreshed and keep the bugs off. Such a deal!!!

That is a great deal! I've considered trying their liquid soap, but it's around $15-$20 out here, so I haven't taken the plunge. Glad to know you like it! Burt's Bees makes a peppermint foot lotion that I like as well, great to use after taking a long walk.
