Root Beer Floats Recipe

Yeah, I think I would like the beer and ice cream separately! A long time ago we would make floats. Two of our favorites are vanilla ice cream in regular coke, and pineapple sherbet in ginger ale. Now that we watch sugar, calories, etc. we are more selective in what we eat!

I'm very selective when it comes to root beer floats. I select the tallest and widest glass I have; I select the best root beer (IBC for me); I select the best vanilla ice cream (Ben and Jerry's). I select NOT to share any of this.

My favorite root beer is Virgil's, and my favorite ice cream to use would be Talenti's Tahitian Vanilla Bean (it comes in a small plastic container - their blood orange is also fantastic!), though Alden's is also wonderful (and a lot less expensive!). I usually share, but then again, I don't have teenagers!
