Double Coupons

A grocery store near us double coupons up to $1.00 each Monday. Yesterday I sorted my coupons and pulled out the ones for $1.00. Today I shopped and used almost all the $1.00 coupons. Some of the items were free (Reynolds Aluminum foil) $1.82, $1.00 coupon doubled, got it free! I had six coupons so I am stocked up on foil! The total bill was $105.00 before coupons and after coupons it was $41.50! I only bought items that we actually except for some toothpaste which I will give to the church for mission project. They do not accept computer generated coupons so that cut down on the number I was able to use, but all in all it was a good day.

How fun! I made a quick trip out today, didn't buy much but some salad and yogurt. The yogurt was on sale 10 for $5 (normally $.99 each), and I had a $.50 off 3 coupon, so I bought 3 for a total cost of about $1. Buy one, get two free? It's the small things in life!

There are two grocery stores I generally use. The one takes coupons, but doesn't do anything special with them (though they do give me $.05 back for every bag I re-use, when they remember ); but the other will double anything less than a $1. They do take coupons printed off of the Internet, but the cost of the product has to be at least a penny greater than the value of the coupon, so no free products! Maybe I'll get something for a penny sometime.
