    Default Christmas poem

The poet laureate of Community Gala is on the loose again! Hope you enjoy this effort for Christmas

    The Reason

We come together to celebrate the season,
Now, let us stop and remember the reason.
The birth of a baby in the long ago yore.
Not just any baby, but so very much more.
The birth of this baby had been foretold
By prophets and by wise men of old.
They watched for His coming year after year,
They saw the eastern star and trembled in fear.
Mary and Joseph had no place to stay,
So Jesus was born and laid on the hay.
The Magi came from far and from near,
To see the promised King who was so dear.
The angels sang praises, proclaiming His birth
A Savior of men from heaven to earth.
Let us give thanks to the Father above,
For this great gift of His eternal love.
As we voice our prayers on this special day,
Let us all say "I love you Jesus, Happy Birthday."

Beautiful, Linda. You have talent and it's from the heart. That's the best of all.

Your attitude towards life defines not only who you are, but the quality of life you are after.
Conservation is a big long word for maintaining what you've worked so hard to achieve.
