After reading this I saw a "blurb" on tv about change that is left at security check throughs at the airport. After putting loose change in bin at security, many passengers do not retrieve it when reclaiming their property after security check. This amounts to almost one-half million dollars a year! Wow, small change does add up!

And a lot of security will NOT tell you to remove the change you left behind. Helloooo night on the town.

Wow, that is a lot of loose change! We have a change jar here, I think it used to be a large peanut container, which we get counted every few years. It's always fun to see to how much it adds up. I haven't read the book Christmas Jars yet, but I've heard of people filling their loose change jars, and then at the end of the year, anonymously giving them away to people who could use the money. What a great idea!

I have read Christmas Jars. It is very inspiring. It is amazing how much the total is when you just toss coins in the jar from time to time. The last time I rolled the coins from my jar I had just over $100.00
