Love Cookie Cutter Stencils for Cake Decorating

Here's an easy cake decorating idea - after icing, select a cookie cutter (perhaps a heart for Valentine's Day, or a flower for your best friend's birthday) with an open back, and gently set on top of the cake. Next, lightly sprinkle the inside of the cutter with colored sugar, sprinkles, or even more icing for a design which is sure to impress! If the cutter leaves a mark on the icing, simple smudge it out, or outline your work with a colored icing of your choice.

One of the reasons I prefer home-made cakes is because they taste better. Another reason is, I know what is in them and what ingredients I used.

I made some sausage balls yesterday. They were pretty tasty. Into my large bowl, I put 1 pound of uncooked, good grade of sausage, 10 ounces of shredded sharp cheese, 2 Cups of Bisquick or Jiffy mix, 3T. of dehydrated onions, and a well-drained can of chopped black olives. Mix it well with your hands and for Heaven's sake, TAKE OFF ALL YOUR RINGS FIRST. It gets into every little nook and cranny of them. Roll into 1 inch balls and put on a foil-lined cookie sheet which has been sprayed with oil or rubbed with oil. Bake for 20 minutes at 350. They are very good with bar-b-que sauce, ranch dressing, honey-mustard dressing or some of your favorite sauce for something like this. Store in the refrigerator. The list of variations is as long as your imagination, but make sure it's good and dry. Left overs which are chopped up are good on salads, too. Enjoy.
