Popovers
I saw an episode of Alton Brown's Good Eats on Food Network a few days where he cooked a few batches of things using various Popover recipes. I hadn't made them before, so I decided to give it a try and was quite pleased with the results! They're really easy to make, you simple measure out some ingredients, toss in a blender, pour, and bake. Easier than even pancakes, I think!
The next time I make them, I think that I might reduce the salt a bit, but otherwise, they were really good! To serve, I popped holes in the top and filled with a chicken and rice soup I had made earlier that day. To my surprise, the popovers actually held the broth, much like a soup bowl (I still strongly recommend serving them inside a regular bowl, as well, so you can eat the popover with the soup)!
Here's the recipe:

No trees were harmed in making this post. However, millions of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
